Handy professionals

A handyman or women is often referred to as a “jack-of-all-trades” who specializes in small projects such as window caulking, deck repairs and paint touch-ups. A handy professional is often paid per project and that is usually based on the amount of time a project will take.

Tip: If structural work is going to be done, your handy professional needs an active CCB license.  You can check this license by clicking on the License Status and Insurance link in the companies profile.

Handymen, and women, perform the simple jobs that don’t normally require any major changes to the structure of the house or commercial building. When you have a job that could be done by yourself yet you are afraid to mess it up or you are worried the job will never get done becaues you simply don't have the time or tools, then a handyman is the right worker for the job.

Sometimes you have those simple jobs that don’t require a contractor to perform. You may just need the gutter cleaned, new caulking placed around the windows, have the woodshed painted or place a new stain on the deck boards. You simply don't have the time to do the project yourself, and would like someone to be paid to perform the work on a per project basis -- not a per hour contract since it might take less than an hour to complete the job. When you have the odd jobs that need someone competent to complete, it is time to hire a handyman.

What makes handymen ideal are that they are the "jacks-of-all-trades." They normally have the work experience to handle all sorts of small jobs around the house that doesn't require a permit to get the work done. Handymen who carry an active CCB license can also perform jobs that involve structural work such as building decks and patios, or adding on room additions.

When searching for the right handyman, always check to see what services they offer. While many handymen can handle a variety of odd jobs, some may specialize in just residential or commercial services. Others may not have the CCB license to do certain work such as build patios or fix home foundations. So always review their list of services and previous completed projects to ensure they can take on the tasks for your home or business.

Check out the available handymen in Central Oregon by browsing the Connection Depot local directory. We have a list of reliable and trustworthy handymen as you can review company information, active business licenses, their list of services, memberships and other information. Select the handymen who can perform the task and visit their websites to gain a better perspective about their companies. Then you can contact them and receive quotes for the job as you can pick the best one that won't tax your budget.

So get the handyman you need to remove snow in the winter, place new doors on your home, change the burnt-out light bulb in your office, or fix the leaking faucet in the bathroom. You will find the professional who can do the job at Connection Depot.
